Living for the City with FishGoDeep, Tracey K and Niall Colgan | Trinity Rooms | Friday February 20th
LEG looks forward a series of exciting events, created by a group of proud Limerick people to promote our city and support a very worthy cause

In this time of economic doom and gloom, one group of young Limerick people decided to swim against the tide, proclaim their faith in the future of their city, and inject some pride into their hometown– and they would like you to join them.
Living for the City is an exciting initiative steered by some of Limerick’s most prominent and prolific young entrepreneurs. Each one is pinning their flag to the mast of Limerick City, declaring their belief in its future, and their absolute loyalty and love for every part of it. With Limerick City’s next generation, from businessmen and women to creatives, media types and sports people at the helm, the future of Limerick City is in good hands.
All funds raised by the Living for the City events will go towards supporting the work of the Limerick Youth Service, which has been working with the young people of Limerick city and county since 1973. Living for the City aims to raise as much as possible for the Limerick Youth Service, and they need your help to do so.
The first event in January at Dolan’s Warehouse with The Hitchers, Size2Shoes, The Outfit and Walter Mitty & The Realists went down a storm and over the coming months you can show your support for Limerick City and the Limerick Youth Service while enjoying a great night out at a range of events taking place in Limerick’s favorite venues.
Coming up this month, the luminaries of Cork dance music, FishGoDeep return to Trinity Rooms with vocalist Tracey K. For more than twenty years Shane Johnson and Greg Dowling have created, played and promoted house music in Cork, Ireland and internationally, leading world renowned club, ‘ Sir Henrys’ for a decade. FishGoDeep now play regular nights at The Pavillion in Cork and continue to produce original house music on their own label. Local djing legend and Living for the City Chairman, Niall Colgan will be dusting off his records and joining the duo for a night of superior house music in Trinity Rooms
The premise and motivation behind the Living for the City Project is a simple one, Limerick is a mighty place, with a vibrant social, cultural, artistic and commercial life that warrants celebration. Chairman Niall Colgan says that he had enough of the often unfair bad press that our city recieves and instead of doing nothing or moaning from the sidelines he decided to do something to promote Limerick in a positive light and with the help of a committee of like minded individuals, the support of the local businesses and business people, Living for the City came about.
